Dean S. McSherry Dean S. McSherry, Business Development Executive
Dean was Vice President-Business Development for Lincoln Restaurant Group that grew to over 400 clients for insurance, payroll, and consulting services. He joined Lincoln following the operation of a hospitality consulting partnership and over 15 years in the independent and multi-unit fine dining industry. Dean is active in Dallas and Texas Restaurant Associations and serves as a member of their board of directors. He is also on the board of the World Entrepreneur Organization (WEO).

 

Joe Womack Joe Womack, President
Joe brings nearly 30 years of executive management and leadership experience to ERS. From 1989 to 2003, he developed and led Sun Microsystems' business-owner sales channel-America's Channels. Under Joe's leadership, America's Channels grew from $30M in annual sales to a peak of over $3.7B in 2001. Widely recognized for his strategic thinking, business acumen, leadership development, and mentoring skills, Joe earned Sun's coveted Leadership Award in 1998. He retired from Sun in 2003 to focus on his family, develop his real estate portfolio, pursue other business interests and obtain a MABS from Dallas Theological Seminary, which he completed in 2009. One of Joe's passions in life is to help entrepreneurs develop successful businesses, which drives his leadership philosophy at ERS. Joe and his wife Jill have been married for 28 years and have two children, Faye and Warren.

 

Dave Hovey Keith Peshke, VP of Marketing
Keith graduated Cum Laude from Northwestern University in 1999. Upon graduation, he joined Accenture's Retail Practice consulting with clients such as JC Penney, Best Buy, Toys R' US, Lear Corporation and Dow Chemical. After four years with Accenture, Keith left the firm to pursue his MBA at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. After graduation in 2006, he did a brief stint with Johnson & Johnson before being recruited by a private equity company to manage a $45M portfolio company. Keith joined ERS in September of 2008. Keith is married with one child, Grace.

 

Dave Hovey Richard Cuccia, Legal Counsel
Richard has more than 12 years of corporate legal experience working for major law firms and as in-house counsel for three companies in Dallas, Texas. Mr. Cuccia graduated from SMU in 1992 and from SMU School of Law in 1998. After Law School, he spent three years with the KPMG, as a strategy consultant in the health-care industry working with national and regional healthcare providers. Following his consulting experience, Rich served as a trial attorney with Godwin Gruber's Dallas office for nearly 3 years. Mr. Cuccia also served as Counsel for three publicly traded companies, ranging in industries from alternative energy to building materials, from 2004 to 2009. In 2009, Mr. Cuccia started his own law firm and served small and medium sized businesses with litigation and in-house counsel needs. Rich is married with four children, Abby, Hank, Libby and Ruby Rose.

 

Dave Hovey Dave Hovey, Director of Sales Operations, Central Region
Dave has diverse experience from operations in fine dining to country club management. He has been able to employ his working knowledge of both the front and the back of the house operations to the benefit of ERS clients. His consulting on management in the hospitality industry has been appreciated by clients in both multi-unit and single-unit restaurants. Dave brings great leadership and knowledge of our business to ERS. Dave services current clients in the Central Region, facilitates new sales and partners with Regional Directors across the country. As the Director of Sales Operations he also acts as sales liaison between all Business Consultants and the home office by helping to provide strategy with on-boarding new clients and retaining current clients.

 

Monte Smith Monte Smith, Independent Sales Operator, Southeast Region
Monte has over 20 years of experience in the restaurant industry. Eleven of those years were with the Palm Restaurant group in Chicago, Mexico City and Charleston where he was one of the top performers. His background also includes restaurant ownership and consulting in the hospitality industry. Monte has extensive international experience starting with a Master of International Management from Thunderbird as well as five star hotel experience in Lima, Peru, that makes a strong contribution to ERS Management Services.

 

Shannon Gilbert Shannon Gilbert, Controller
As head of our accounting department, Shannon has nine years accounting experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing and customer service. Shannon also has background in accounting and Human Resources recruitment. She is a specialist in conflict resolution and is available to advise in this area.

 

Susan Carrero Susan Carrero, Business Development Consultant, Northeast Region
Susan Carrero is a vital Team Member of Express Restaurant Services. Married with two sons, a teenager and a toddler, she brings us over 20 years of hands-on experience in operational management that has developed her exceptional supervisory and motivational skills. Susan spent time managing her family's three fine dining Italian restaurants in Philadelphia in the 80s. To expand her knowledge and reunite with the corporate world, Susan opened the very first double galley IHOP as general manager in New Jersey. Susan gained most of her high volume operational experience working six years for one of Philadelphia's most prominent independent multi-unit operators; Rick Blatstein.

Seeking the next challenge, Susan spent time as a regional director of training for the Rainforest Café, where she endured the challenges of opening and running a $10 million operation. In 1998, she was courted to join the Lincoln Restaurant Group as a turn-around specialist. After succeeding on her very first project, Lincoln hired her as the Director of Training for Dick Clark's, promoting her to Director of Ops within one year and VP of Ops for national accounts by her third year. Susan then helped to lead the management division for Preferred Restaurant Services (PRS) and PRMG collectively through 2004. In 2005, while assisting the PRMG team in operations, she became licensed in insurance and branched the PRS services to develop the Northeast Region. Susan's true passion for restaurant operations is lived through servicing and consulting her clients. Her endless energy, and "Road Warrior" dedication to grow her region has aided in the rapid growth of the Northeast region. ERS is proud to service their clients in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Maryland, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine.

 

Danny Martin Danny Martin, Business Development Consultant, South Texas
Danny comes to ERS with 20 years of diverse restaurant operational experience. From wholesale and retail food sales to fine dining and special events, he has proven experience in front of the house and back of the house operations. Working for the regional founders of the Landry restaurant chain, Danny spent seven years working financial operations and in an operations management capacity for the special events division. In 1992, Danny founded and operated his own successful restaurant company. After 10 years he sold his company, which still operates to this day. As Sales Manager for the Houston office of Aloha, Danny provided technology-consulting services to more than 200 Houston restaurant companies. Using his restaurant and technology experience, he provided consulting services for restaurateurs looking to consolidate and automate back of the house operations.

 

Eric Corcoran Eric Corcoran, Sales
Coming from over 12 years experience in the restaurant industry, Eric Corcoran has worked in every position from busboy to general manager. In addition, Eric has over 4 years experience selling payroll and human resources to small and medium sized businesses in the DFW area. With his experience in both these fields makes him an excellent addition to the ERS team.
